Common Questions

How much does a new entrance cost?

An entrance system is a statement piece, so price reflects the design - oversized or pivot entry doors, the material (steel, bronze, wood, or glass), glazing, and custom hardware. Most start in the low-to-mid five figures.

After we measure and confirm the design, you get one flat, itemized quote. Custom entrances are built to your opening, so the number we give you is the number you pay.

How long does installation take?

Because entrances are custom-built, most of the timeline is fabrication; the install itself is typically one to two days for a single grand entry.

You'll have a firm schedule before we begin, and the opening is secured the same day - your home is never left exposed during the changeover.

Can you match the existing style of my home?

Yes - entrances are where matching matters most. We build in steel, bronze, wood, and glass across modern, traditional, and architectural styles, including historic and landmark-sensitive designs.

Bring us the look you want or a photo of the facade. We'll design an entrance that fits the architecture and, where you want it, upgrades to a higher-performing system without losing the character.

Do you handle permits and HOA approvals?

Yes - every time. A new entrance changes the exterior, so it requires a building permit in Florida and Illinois and almost always an HOA architectural review.

We pull the permits, submit the HOA documentation for you, and coordinate every inspection, including any product approvals your area requires, such as Miami-Dade in Florida. The paperwork is ours to manage.

What's the warranty?

Your entrance is covered by the manufacturer - typically multi-year coverage on the door system and hardware, with extended glass coverage on most of the brands we carry.

Our workmanship warranty covers the installation itself. If anything ever fails because of how it was fitted, we come back and fix it - you deal with SAVOCCHI directly.
